about

An electronic/metal cover of the Fugue from Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C major (BWV 564) by Johann Sebastian Bach, originally written for organ.

All sounds, including samples, come from the Roland ZENOLOGY synth. The synth uses supersaws at 8' and 4', plus PWM at 16' and 8'. The bass is a layering of distorted bass guitar (again, sampled) and TB-303 type saw (16') and square (32') wave sounds. I also layered the kick and snare drums with distorted TR-909 sounds, à la gabber (though subtly).

This should be included on my next album, which I just now started to write.

about

Danny Wier Austin, Texas

Composer, arranger and music theorist, largely self-taught. I've recently finished an epic symphony and am working on another. Looking for work in movies and video games. Most of my recordings use Garritan sampled instruments.

Two of my "gimmicks" are the use of 72 tones per octave instead of the usual 12, and irrational time signatures such as 2/3 and 4/5 (and "third notes", "fifth notes" etc.)
